Cenote Dive Center is owned and operated by two friends who met on a Mexican road trip over 13years ago. You could say that VW vans brought them together and diving has kept them together. The are adrenaline junkies that wanted to share their love for the caverns, diving and all that goes with this lifestyle.
David Tomlinson is Canadian and Per Dovland is Norweigan. Both of these men came to Mexico to dive and both decided they could not leave. For the past 13 years they have been diving, instructing, opening dive centers and having fun with everyone who comes to visit. Oddly enough, visitors keep returning to dive with these enthusiasts and their employees. Per has decided to take a break from the diving world here in Mexico and return to Norway for some other diving related endeavours…we are taking bets as to when he will return…which we think will be sooner rather than later.
David is NACD cave certified, an SSI Instructor, and Dive Con Instructor. He has over 15 years of diving experience and owns three dive centers in Mexico. cenote Dive Cetner works with all of the dive centers on the coast to bring you the best possible experience.
Per is NACD cave certified, an MSTD Instructor, Norwegian Naval Diver and an IANTD Cavern Instructor. With his two children and partner, he has relocated to Norway to pursue some diving related endeavours, which will continue to benefit us here in Mexico. His presence is missed but we always look forward to his visits.
We may be a bunch of divers but we take the business of diving very seriously. Enthusiasm is all you need to dive with us here in the Riviera Maya!
